In what comes (at least to me) as shocking and sad news, actor Bob Hoskins has passed away at the age of 71 due to pneumonia.

The recently retired actor (1942-2014) was known for his work on many films including Mona Lisa, Super Mario Bros., Nixon, Vanity Fair, Hollywoodland, Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties (where he voiced a British bulldog), and his last release, Snow White and the Huntsman (where he played one of the dwarfs). The actor even played the role of Mr. Smee in two separate projects about Peter Pan: Hook

and the TV mini-series, Neverland.

Disney fans, however, will remember him mostly as Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit

and as Fezziwig/Old Joe in Robert Zemeckis’ 2009 motion-capture film, A Christmas Carol.

Animation fans will know him as the voice of Boris the goose in Amblimation’s Balto

and as Teddy in the animated short, The Forgotten Toys.

He shall greatly be missed!
