Pixar’s The Incredibles has quite a devoted fanbase and probably rightly so. The 2004 hit film from Pixar isn’t my favorite, but it’s a wonderfully made film. The fanbase so loved it that a sequel has even been planned by Disney/Pixar in the coming years.

For those who don’t know, The Incredibles tells the story of a family of superheros who has to go into hiding after the world doesn’t feel safe with them around.

The patriarch of the family is Bob Parr aka Mr. Incredible (voiced by Craig T. Nelson), a superhero of super-strength, but a man who’s so tired and bored of living the sheltered life.

And being an insurance guy doesn't help his boredom much!

His wife is Helen Parr aka Elastigirl (voiced by Holly Hunter), a superheroine of elastic proportions, but a loving and caring wife/mom who’s willing to go to any extremes for her husband/family. She’s also more comfortable staying under the radar than her husband is. A great post about her can be found at my loyal follower and friend, swanpride’s blog here.

I just love her playful banter!

and a baby, Jack-Jack, who doesn’t seem to have any superpowers.

Well, at least not in the beginning of the movie. Don't worry, this isn't much of a spoiler.

They try living a normal life despite having  problems while doing it. But all that changes when Mr. Incredible is called back to resume his job of being a superhero. But, he doesn’t tell his family about it. Rather, he lies and says that he’s going to out-of-town conferences for his job. But once his wife finds out the truth, she goes to catch up with him and see what’s really going on.

This is where our forgotten/minor character comes in. Mr. Incredible is actually on a small island far, far away. The only way that Elastigirl can get there is by jet. So whom does she call?

Uh...no.

Uh…no.

She calls a guy named Snug, our forgotten/minor character. We don’t see him, but we see a picture of him that indicates that he has some connection with aircraft. Maybe he was a pilot? Maybe he owns planes? Maybe he taught Elastigirl how to fly planes? Maybe he’s related to Elastigirl?

The questions never seem to end!

The questions never seem to end!

Whatever the case is, he definitely knew Elastigirl in the past and is still connected with the aircraft industry. We know this because Elastigirl asks him to lend her a private jet to return a favor and he does.

That’s all we know about this character, but I do hope that we can see/learn more of him in the upcoming sequel. Anyone who has the ability to lend you a private jet is just…awesome! And also anyone named Snug just makes you…wanna find out why he’s named Snug!

Or it makes you think of "a bug in a rug". I don't think my foreign followers will get that joke.

And I’m also curious as to what the favor was that Elastigirl did for this Snug in the first place? Oh well, Pixar, I hope you provide answers! Here’s to our forgotten/minor character, Snug!

"Hey Mark, aren't you forgetting something?"

Oh yes, thanks for remind me!
