My Thoughts: THE GRINCH (2018)

After having both an animated short and a live-action film adaptation, it wasn’t long before Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas received an animated film adaptation. Is this version from Illumination Entertainment the best of the three? Well, here are my thoughts. Caution: Some spoilers below!

My 91st Academy Awards Predictions!

Once again, it’s Oscars season! Listed below are my predictions for the winners of this year’s 91st Academy Awards ceremony! Like usual, I leave the top 6 awards for the end (Best Animated Feature, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Picture). The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red,┬áthe nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they will be both red and blue. Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments below!

‘Frozen II’ Teaser Trailer Debuts!

We finally get our first teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming animated sequel, Frozen II! What do you think of this trailer?

I personally am loving what I’m seeing! The overall look of the film is quite distinct and I’m loving the stunning animation! I mean, those waves and cliffs look so real! I also liked the bit of the song that we heard near the end!

The characters seem to be going on a journey, but I wonder what the journey will be. Any ideas?

I still don’t want them to give Elsa a girlfriend in this film; I’d rather her remain single.

Frozen II will hit theaters in the U.S. on November 22, 2019!

Former Disney President/CEO/Son-in-Law Ron Miller Dies at 85!

In sad news, Ron Miller, the son-in-law of Walt Disney himself has passed away at the age of 85! Mr. Miller (1933-2019), originally an NFL player, was also once the president and CEO of the The Walt Disney Company (after Walt’s death). He helped bring about more experimental Disney films like Tron and The Black Cauldron and created the Touchstone Pictures banner for less family-friendly films. While his leadership during these years is criticized, his loss still hits us hard in the Disney community! He shall be missed!

Actor Albert Finney Dies at 82!

The English actor, Albert Finney, has sadly passed away at the age of 82! Mr. Finney (1936-2019) was most famous for his roles in Tom Jones, Scrooge, Annie, Big Fish, Skyfall, and my favorite performance of his in one of my favorite films, Murder on the Orient Express!

In terms of animation, he voiced the character of Mr. Everglot in Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride.

He shall be missed!

My Thoughts: SMALLFOOT (2018)

Smallfoot was a film that I knew existed, but not much else. I knew it was made by Warner Animation Group, the same division that brought us The Lego Movie, and I knew that it had something to do with yetis, but other than that, I didn’t know what to expect. I can safely say that I was pleasantly surprised after viewing it.

(There will be mild spoilers below.)
