Well, it’s been long enough since the movie’s come out that I feel I should do a Forgotten/Minor Characters post on Disney’s 53rd animated feature, Frozen. For a brief summary of the movie (for like the 2 of you who haven’t seen it) and my thoughts of it, check out my review here.

Wow, I can’t believe that the project’s finished! It is quite sad, indeed!
I have always been a fan of animated films, Walt Disney’s especially had always wanted to share my love for animation with other people. Then the thought of starting a blog came to my mind. I hemmed and hawed around the idea, because I couldn’t see myself dedicating time to writing a blog or that anybody would actually want to read it.
Finally, I gave in and started my blog, “The Animation Commendation”, on November 4th, 2012. It started out quite weak with me just posting random animation news. Then (I can’t remember if my intention was to boost numbers), I decided that maybe I should start some sort of project, and I knew just what type of project it should be: a project on the animated Disney Canon. The day is finally here! We’ve come to the last film in the Disney Canon, hence the last entry of my Disney Canon-Forgotten/Minor Characters Project.
Sigh…well, can’t cry now; we have to get through this. We are in the year 2012 and in the film, “Wreck-It Ralph”.
The film, about a video game bad guy who wants to be treated better by his good guy game companions, became a HUGE success at the box office and with critics and was even nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. I won’t discuss the plot of the film, since pretty much everybody’s seen it, so let’s go straight to our forgotten/minor character. More

I REALLY REALLY was not looking forward to re-watching “Winnie the Pooh” for two reasons! The first reason was, as I’ve talked about in other posts, I REALLY don’t like this movie! And the second reason was that I had so much trouble picking a forgotten/minor character for “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh”, and now I’d have to go through all that trouble again. I mean, who’s forgotten/minor in the “Winnie the Pooh” franchise?! UGH!!! Moving on… More

Wow, 50 films in 71 years! I wonder if Walt Disney himself thought that his films would endure and be loved for this long.
As for the 50th film, you’d think that we’d get a good movie since it’s an important milestone…and you’d be thinking correctly. We get a very good movie entitled, “Tangled”. More

When Disney announced that “Home on the Range” would be the last traditionally animated Disney Canon film, we were all horrified beyond belief!
Then after the acquisition of Pixar (and other factors), Disney decided to create another traditionally animated Disney Canon film and we were all ecstatic with immeasurable glee!
That film is none other than Disney’s 49th animated feature, “The Princess and the Frog”. More
