Disney’s much-anticipated and critically acclaimed entry in its animated Canon, “Frozen”, has proven that it DOES have the potential to be a modern classic. Opening in the 2nd place slot of the U.S./Canada box office, “Frozen”¬†amassed a whopper $93 million, breaking the record for biggest Thanksgiving weekend debut!

Have you seen it? If so, what did you think? Do you agree with the statement that it’s this generation’s “Beauty and the Beast”? If you haven’t seen it, do you plan on seeing it and when?

I haven’t seen it yet, but I do really want to see it soon.

We all love Disney’s animated features: “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Pinocchio”, “Cinderella”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Lion King”, “Tangled”, etc. I love them so much that I dedicated the bulk of my blog to a project about these animated features of the Disney Canon! My Thoughts: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1987/1988)

phantom of the opera

Today’s review is the first one that has ever been requested of me.

The name of the requester is Jegsy Scarr, an often viewer of my blog. She is an ardent fan of “The Phantom of the Opera”, so much so as to even compose FanFiction¬†about it. And being a fan of “The Phantom of the Opera”, she suggested that I review either “A Monster in Paris” or an animated version of “The Phantom of the Opera”.

My Thoughts: SCOOBY-DOO! MUSIC OF THE VAMPIRE (2012)

scoobydoomusicvapireart1

Well, let’s start off by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Scooby-Doo and its franchise! I love the original TV series, I love most of the other TV series that followed it and are still following it, and I love the direct-to-DVD films. (What do I think of the live-action films? Well, I prefer the Brian Levant TV duology over the Raja Gosnell theatrical duology; but that’s not really saying much for either of them.)

And the focus of today’s review is one of the newer direct-to-DVD movies, “Scooby-Doo! Music of the Vampire”! Now if you’re like me, the first thing that comes to your mind is, “HEY! Wait a minute! They already made a direct-to-DVD Scooby-Doo film involving a vampire, ‘Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire’! How can they be so unoriginal and use the same type of supernatural creature again?! Are they telling us the same story again?!” Continue reading “My Thoughts: SCOOBY-DOO! MUSIC OF THE VAMPIRE (2012)”
