It’s that time of year again: Oscars season! Like usual, I’ll be making my predictions for which 2016 films I think will win which award. The ones that I think SHOULD win will be colored RED and the ones that I think WILL win will be colored BLUE. If they happen to be the same, then I’ll color them BOTH COLORS! Like usual, I’ll leave the top 6 awards (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Feature) for the end.
Last year, I had my best prediction score: 17 correct out of 24 categories! Can I beat that this year? Let’s see!

alpha dog, animation, anton yelchin, celebrity death, charlie bartlett, clumsy smurf, from up on poppy hill, star trek, studio ghibli, terminator salvatio, the pirates band of misfits, the smurfs
In sad news, actor Anton Yelchin has passed away at the age of 27 due to a freak car accident. He was found pinned between his car and a security fence. Anton Yelchin (1989-2016) was probably best known for his appearances in the recent Star Trek films as well as in Alpha Dog, Charlie Bartlett, and Terminator Salvation.
In terms of animation, he provided the voices of Shun in the English dub of From Up on Poppy Hill,
the Albino Pirate in the American version of The Pirates! Band of Misfits,
and Clumsy Smurf in the recent Smurfs films.
He shall be missed!

atlantis the lost empire, leonard nimoy, LLAP, mr. spock, star trek, transformers, transformers 3, transformers: dark of the moon, zambezia
Beloved actor, Leonard Nimoy, has passed away at the age of 83. Mr. Nimoy (1931-2015) was best known for his portrayal of Mr. Spock in the Star Trek franchise.
But, he has played many other roles besides including a few voice roles! These include the Atlantean king in Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire,
Sentinel Prime in Transformers: Dark of the Moon,
and Sekhuru in Zambezia.
He shall be missed!

Hello all, once again, it’s that time of year when the Oscars are only a week away and many film fanatics make their predictions about who will win. And I’m no exception, although I haven’t been all that successful. My record so far is 9 correct (out of like 30), and 30% ain’t bad, right?
So below you’ll find the list of the nominees as well as my predicted winners. The nominees that I think SHOULD win will be in red, the nominees that I think WILL win will be in blue, and if they’re the same, they’ll be both RED AND BLUE.
One last thing, I always leave the “Top 6” categories (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Animated Feature) for the end. More
